Valerie Stewart
Many of my paintings are focussed on the theme of circus, gypsies and fairground imagery. I use a mixture of water colours, inks, acrylic and pastel to create vivid colours found in association with this itinerant way of life. In addition to these paintings I use Welsh land and seascapes for my paintings. These are a collection of semi abstracts with realistic images, masses of sweeping white lines and vivid coloured reflections. I have widely exhibited my work and sold many to private collections.

Rag Rug
RUGS TO WALK ON
The rug was a design from an interlocking weaved tapestry Peruvian Poncho from the Inca Period shown in the National Gallery of Art, Washington DC. Both artists modified their designs and used their own shades of colour fabrics. The prodding method of Rag rugging was used to produce the end product which is both colourful and unique.. |
